While there is some existing greenery and public realm around the site, it is not of a high quality, is dominated by car parking spaces with little space for pedestrians to relax, and is therefore not a welcoming environment.

The landscape design provides a variety of exciting outdoor spaces with the following benefits:

  • Welcoming entrances from Olympic Way and Wembley Park Drive improving circulation having considered safety and security.
  • Spaces of different scale for active and passive recreation immersed in a lush green environment.
  • Sensory experience with opportunities to explore and learn within the recreational space in the Residential Gardens and Northern Courtyard.
  • New trees and planting complementing existing vegetation and further ecological enhancements such as floating islands, log piles and fl owering plants to ensure a rich ecosystem.
